The DCF first opened on April 5th 2005 on the InvisionFree platform. The board can be found here, although it is offline as it was converted to ZetaBoards.

At first, the DCF had no theme, and was a general spamfeast which was used to pass the time in Year7 ICT lessons. This soon changed, and we became a Harry Potter related forum. Role play shortly followed in early 2006.

The board then closed on the 22nd December 2007, for us to move to the new forum which was a privately hosted version of Invision Power Board 1.3.1 Final. The amount of spam robots and alternate accounts that were registering on InvisionFree were overwhelming, and we had to be able to do something about them.

DCF v2 was a slow start, and eventually – once the seventh book had finished – activity began to die. The craze was over, unfortunately. Shortly before the DCF closed, ‘Dystopia’ was opened – an urban role play.

The DCF is set to return – under a different name, but following some of the DCF’s original storyline (bringing back a few of the original characters). See the v2 archive (here) for more information.
